TCCFT 2196 Executive Meeting, Dec. 5th, 2018
Members Attending: Dave Howard, John Sandin, Valerie Morgan-Krick, Michael Mixdorf, Katrina Taylor, and Ken Pimpleton
Item 1: Approval of Agenda (Dave Howard): Katrina made a motion to approve the Agenda and it was seconded by Michael. The Agenda was approved.
Item 2: Approval of Previous Minutes (Dave Howard): Valerie made a motion to approve the Previous Minutes and it was seconded by John. The Previous Minutes were approved.
Item 3: Pierce County Central Labor Council (All): Ken Pimpleton briefed the E-Council on the importance of sending four Delegates to the PCCLC. The E-Council will consider whether they want to volunteer to fill one or more of these slots. This item will be revisited at the next E-Council meeting then opened to the Membership February.
Item 4: TCCFT.wa.aft.org Website (Ken Pimpleton): Ken reported that the approved E-Council and All Membership Minutes are being posted on the TCCFT.wa.aft.org website for viewing. He also mentioned that Cris Rice and/or Kiambo White are our AFTWA liaisons for electronic voting. And that Courtney Marabetta is the new AFTWA Communications Specialist that will help with utilizing the TCCFT website.
Item 5: TCCFT VP Stipend (All): Dave opened a discussion proposing that the position of TCCFT VP receive a stipend. The E-Council proposed a review of the VP description in the TCCFT Constitution. This item will be discussed further at the next EC Meeting.
Item 6: Committee Reports:
Legislative (Katrina Taylor): Katrina reported that the last Legislative Committee meeting was cancelled.
Elections (Valerie Morgan-Krick): Linda mailed a ballot box and some ballots from previous elections to the TCCFT Secretary. The E-Council stated that the box is to be stored in the TCCFT Union Office for further review if necessary.
Membership (James Mendoza): No Report. TCCFT is recruiting members for this committee.
By-Laws (Ken Fox): No Report.
Grievance (Michael Mixdorf): Dave and Michael reported that one grievance was heard at a Stage 3 Hearing by the TCC President. The TCC President is awaiting more information that should arrive by the end of this week. Upon review of the information the TCC President will issue a letter to the plaintiff and the Union President.
Corrections (Deanna Cole): No Report.
Adjunct (Vacant): No Report. TCCFT is recruiting members for this committee.
Executive (Dave Howard): Dave introduced Kaimbo White aka. “Bo” from AFTWA. Bo is the AFTWA TCC Representative who will assist in negotiations, voting, organizing, and other related issues.
