TCCFT 2196 Executive Meeting, February 6th, 2019
Members Attending: Dave Howard, John Sandin, Valerie Morgan-Krick, Michael Mixdorf, and Ken Pimpleton
Item 1: Approval of Agenda (Dave Howard): Michael made a motion to approve the Agenda and it was seconded by Valarie. The Agenda was approved.
Item 2: Approval of Previous Minutes (Dave Howard): Valerie made a motion to approve the Previous Minutes and it was seconded by John. Page 2 of the Minutes was missing, but it was read during the meeting by Ken Pimpleton. The Previous Minutes were approved
Item 3: AFTWA Updates (John Sandin): John mentioned the AFTWA Convention will be in Tacoma. AFTWA is seeking support for HB 1300 “Re-Invest in Our Colleges (ROC) and HB 1355 concerning staffing standards and ratios of counselors in CTC’s. He also reported that the next Lobby Day is Feb. 18th in Olympia.
Item 4: Review of TCCFT Constitution Article V Section 2 (Ken Fox/Dave Howard): The E-Council reviewed Article V Section 2 of the Constitution – VP Duties. The Council approved changing “attend to attending,” and spelling out PCLC and WSLC. This proposed language will be presented to the Membership for feedback at the next meeting.
Item 5: Committee Reports:
Legislative (Katrina Taylor): No Report.
Elections (Valerie Morgan-Krick): Valerie connected with Cris Rice at AFTWA to research establishing electronic voting. Cris reports AFTWA is revising the On-line Voting system and gave options. Valarie will present these options at the next All Membership Meeting.
Membership (James Mendoza): No Report. TCCFT is still seeking members for this committee and this topic will be presented at the next All Membership Meeting.
By-Laws (Ken Fox): No Report.
Grievance (Michael Mixdorf): Mike reported we have 1 grievance moving from stage 3 to stage 4 (mediation).Dave will be talking to the TCC President and the HR Director about extending the date of this meeting.
Corrections (Deanna Cole): No Report.
Adjunct (Vacant): No Report. TCCFT is still seeking members for this committee and this topic will be presented at the next All Membership Meeting.
Executive (Dave Howard): Dave had a discussion with the Provost/VP concerning the Post-Tenure Review process. And this topic will be presented at the next All Membership Meeting.
