TCCFT 2196 Executive Meeting, Nov. 14th, 2018
Members Attending: Dave Howard, John Sandin, Valerie Morgan-Krick, and Ken Pimpleton
Item 1: Approval of Agenda (Dave Howard): Valerie made a motion to approve the Agenda with changing the date from Oct. 24th to Nov. 14th. John seconded the Agenda with the change and the Agenda was approved.
Item 2: Approval of Previous Minutes (Dave Howard): John motioned to approve the previous Minutes and it was seconded by Valerie. The previous Minutes were approved.
Item 3: Pierce County Central Labor Council (Dave Howard): The Executive Council discussed having representation at the PCCLC. TCCFT is allotted 4 Delegates. This item will be discussed at the next EC Meeting asking for Delegates, then opened to the Membership at the next All Membership Meeting.
Item 4: TCCFT.wa.aft.org Website (Ken Pimpleton): Ken announced that the website is operative and the last EC Minutes and All Membership Minutes have been posted under the “News” link. The EC suggest this website be demonstrated to the Membership and that we look for ways to post “archived minutes” on this site.
Item 5: Committee Reports:
Legislative (Katrina Taylor): No Report. Dave reported on the recent Legislative Committee meeting which included discussions on the operating budget concerning faculty raises, and the capital budget for various needs for buildings at TCC.
Elections (Linda Ford/Valerie Morgan-Krick): Valerie reported that she will be developing a “mock ballot” during winter quarter 2019 to test the electronic voting system.
Membership (James Mendoza): No Report. Dave is still seeking people to participate in this committee.
By-Laws (Ken Fox): No Report.
Grievance (Michael Mixdorf): No Report. Dave reported we have one grievance going to stage three which consist of a hearing with the President and the HR Director.
Corrections (Deanna Cole): No Report.
Adjunct (Vacant): No Report.
Executive (Dave Howard): Dave had a discussion with the E-Council regarding a TCCFT VP stipend and an evaluation of the VP duties. This item will be revisited at the next EC Meeting.
